- Pinpad type- External
- External Card Reader- Auto
The application on the A80 must support EXDEV. If EXDEV has been added to the application, it will have an "External Device" tab in PAXSTORE.
Please Note: These are the applications that are supported for A80 + Q25 setup ( BroadPOS Elavon, TSYS Sierra, Transit, Clearent, Card Knox, Paxgistix, Portico, EPX Processor, Shift4, JetPayXML TC/HC P2PE latest versions, Vantiv latest versions), Omaha (latest version). RapidConnect is due late Q4 2025.
Q25 Troubleshooting Notes
There are both External PIN pad (monocable) and semi-integrated PIN pad versions of the Q25. Check the part number to ensure the device is the correct version for the A80. These are Q25-0UL-R75-03L0 and Q25-0UL-R75-04L0. Part numbers Q25-0UA-R75-03LA and Q25-0UA-R75-05L0 are Semi-Integrated terminals. Q25-0UA-R75-04LA is a Semi-Integrated terminal exclusive to Shift4.
If a monocable Q25 displays the screen below, it does not have EXDEV installed and must be returned for RMA:
Terminals with the screens below are for Semi-Integration:
There is no need to add an External PIN pad (monocable) to PAXSTORE. The Semi-Integrated version must be added to PAXSTORE so that it can be programmed.
A80 connection to SP20 V4 and SP30s Monocable are no longer supported in the latest application versions.
