Download and Application Update

Application Update From the Terminal

Application Updates:

We recommend users update their applications at least once a year for merchants to keep up with the latest security features for processing.

Update the Application from the terminal:
To perform this action there must be a pending download in  PAXSTORE. Remember power cycling the terminal will prompt the terminal to update to a pending download.

Traditional Terminals
  1. Batch all transactions. The terminal will not update with transactions in the database
  2. Menu
  3. System Settings
  4. App Management
  5. App Update

** Make sure the URL and PORT of the device is route to the PAXSTORE Server**

  • Menu > System Settings > App Management > Configuration
    • Server URL : t.paxstore.us
    • Server Port: 9080

Android Terminals
  1. Make sure that the Terminal properly connected to WIFI
  2. Close the batch because the terminal will not process a download with an open transaction
  3. Open the PAXSTORE icon/application the download should automatically process

If a customer cannot download a file to their terminal:

  1. Verify there is a pending download in Paxstore.
  2. Verify the serial number in the terminal matches the serial number in Paxstore (It is possible the terminal was mislabeled)
    1. Menu > System Settings > App Management > Terminal SN
  3. Make sure that the device is properly connected to Ethernet.
