Module Check

How to Perform Module Checks

Power Cycle the terminal and upon reboot hold the function or menu key

1.     Hit the arrow down until you see Module Check and select it.

1.     You can perform a Module Check for:

1.     ICC Reader (Chip)

2.     MAG Reader (Swipe)

3.     RF Reader (Contactless)

4.     Key Test (Buttons)

5.     LCD

2.     Select what you would like to test

3.     If it shows “User Card: OK” means the terminal can detect the card that you used.

4.     If it shows “User Card: Err” means the terminal cannot detect the card that you used.

5.     If the application downloaded on the terminal is using an old version, have them first update it.

6.     If the application is on the latest version already and the terminal is still not working, the device needs to be repaired.

If you think the card reader is dirty, you can try cleaning it.  POS Supply Solutions is a recommended source.  They also have an Android application on the PAXSTORE. You can download the app from the PAXSTORE on an Android PAX device and order paper and supplies from that application.
