Change Communication Type/Comm Type

Communication settings for Android devices are set in the Settings tab.  Only the A80 can be set for Dialup.  The Dial Tone Check must be turned off for Dial at Terminal level in the BroadPOS application Communication settings.

Change Communication Type/ Comm Type in Conventional devices:

For LAN:

1.       Menu

2.       Communications

3.       Main Communications

4.       Select LAN

5.       LAN Parameters

6.       Select LAN Type

7.       Select DHCP or Static

8.       If DHCP, then go to Step 10

9.       If Static, make entries for Static values (Local IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS IP)

10.   Select PING to test connection.

Or, if on Dial Up

1.       Menu

2.       Communications

3.       Main Communications

4.       Select Dial

5.       If Dial, select Dial Parameters

6.       Select Dial Tone Check and set to “Off”

7.       Exit the menu and run a test transaction

  1. If you do not know the Terminal System Password we cannot make the change locally. The ISO will need to make the update in BroadPOS.
