E-Series Set-Up

When it comes to the E Series terminals follow the instructions below for the firmware update and the app download.

  1.  First UPDATE the firmware to the latest version for the E500, E600, E700, E800. 
  1. Then go to the PDM (Payment Device Manager) App and push version 2.01.06. IMPORTANT Please remember the E700 only operates on PDM version 3.01.02. If this version is uploaded to any other terminal the terminal will need to be sent to RMA. 
  1. Open the application you plan to process in PAXSTORE on the Q20, then Build your file. 
  1. Once completed, power cycle your terminal and upon the reboot tap the center of the Q20 repeatedly until you open the OS Menu.
  1. Once open go to the Android side of the terminal and open PDM. Once in PDM go to Local Update and tap Upgrade. 
  1. The unit will automatically push the basic app version 1.00.05 to the Q20, which allows the Q20 to download your payment application. 
  1. Once all files have updated power cycle your again and pull the download for the Q20. If the terminal is connected to the internet it will automatically pull the file from PAXSTORE within 2-3 minutes. 
  1. If it does not pull the file you can download it manually by tapping the 4 corners of the Q20> Settings, App Management > App update.
