Receive Error

There are multiple scenarios when you will encounter a Receive Error.
  1. Receive Error for TSYS: Before the transaction says "Processing" the terminal displays a Receive Error. The issue is related to incorrect parameters i.e. TID, MID, Terminal Number. Tsys cannot identify the information being sent from the terminal. Other reasons you will receive this error on Tsys are
    1. Network connection is unstabe
    2. The application is outdated and needs to be updated.

  2. Receive Error During a Download: This means the PAXSTORE server is busy. Can also be that they were trying to download through a dial connection.

  3. Receive Error When Processing a Transaction: This error occurs when the transaction is sent to the HOST but the terminal times out before the HOST can respond. To resolve this issue increase the Connect and Receive Timeout in the file on the Communications Tab.
    1. You can also make this change in the terminal
      1. Menu > Communication > Connect Timeout > Receive Timeout

  4. Receive Error While Batching: “Error in Batch” this means there is an invalid transaction in the batch. The Host/Processor is able to provide the card number to remove this transaction from the terminal.

  5. Receive Error on Dial: Check the application, then check dial parameters, increase connect and receive timeout. Due to issues with dial connection, we recommend changing to LAN.
