RMA FAQs

1.  What is the RMA warranty period?

  • The warranty period for terminals and associated equipment is 2-years from date PAX sold the terminal to the distributor, not the current terminal owner’s date of purchase from the distributor.

2.  Is there a repair fee?

  • Yes, there is a repair fee for terminals out-of-warranty, you will need to pay the repair fee, per unit, according to the repair fee schedules.  
  • Yes, there is a repair fee for Terminals that are broken due to neglect/damage (outside of normal wear and tear), for example: cracked screen, water damage, etc.

3.  Does my terminal need to be re-encrypted after PAX repairs my terminal?  Yes.

  • Re-encryption is a requirement following most types of repairs.
  • PAX is not responsible for key erasure/deletion.
  • PAX is not responsible for any costs relating to the re-encryption of a repaired terminal.

4.  What is the out-of-warranty and damage due to neglect repair cost fee schedules?

Warranty Exempt

Cracked Screens, broken/cracked printer doors, notably dented/bent features

Any signs of high impact/damages on the device

PURELY AND SOLELY Cosmetic Repairs

Sole Battery Replacements

Warranty Voided

Broken or Absent Tamper stickers

Signs of people breaking into the device to try to fix it themselves

The unit is absolutely DEMOLISHED beyond repair and need replacement.

Food or Fluid damage present within the device.
