Tax Prompt feature can be enabled. PAX Terminals do not calculate TAX this information is sent from a POS.
If the terminal says "Tax & Customer Code" when trying to process a transaction the customer is using a Business/Commercial Card.
- To avoid these prompts the ISO will need to go into the File on the Industry Tab
- Where it states "Disable Commercial Card Prompts" Select YES
- If the customer does not want to accept commercial cards disable commercial card under industry features
On the Omaha application, Industry Tab under "Host Features", a Tax Prompt can be enabled. It causes a prompt to enter the tax amount in the transaction. This prints the tax collected on the receipt and on the daily Batch Report.
*Note:
The tax prompt feature is only available on Omaha and Rapid Connect applications under Industry tab-Host Features.
