Tips General Information

Tips are located in the file, in 2 locations. It must be enabled on the Tip Tab in the TIP 1 subsection and on the EDC Tab


On the Tip Tab in subsection Tip 1:


Tip Prompt MUST be enabled to accept tips

  1. Mode: In Transactions 
    1. In Transactions: Can be used on both retail/restaurant applications. Allows the terminal to process tips during the transaction instead of adjusting it later.
  2. Mode: In Tip Menu
    1. In Tip Menu: You must use a restaurant application to use this function. This allows the merchant to add the tips later (tip adjustment).  

To Perform a Tip Adjustment

  1. Press Function 
  2. Scroll to In Tip Menu 
  3. Follow the Prompts (Always adjust tips by transaction number to avoid errors)
    1. If you enter the incorrect tip amount follow steps 1-3 again and enter the correct tip amount before you Batch.

Tip Suggestion Print:

      If you enable this feature the tip percentage options will print on the physical receipt.

Tip Select:

 If you enable this feature the terminal will prompt for specific tip amount options before asking the customer to swipe their card.






Tip Select In Percentage: Set Amount Threshold to Lower Amount to Trigger the Tip Select for Percentage




Tip Select In Amount: Set Amount Threshold to Higher Amount to Trigger the Tip Select for Amount
