Warning App Exception

This means a Firmware Update is needed on the terminal.

  1. The terminal will typically display this error message twice.
  2. The first time it displays the Merchant should Close their batch and contact the ISO or PAX immediately to process an update.
  3. The second time it displays the Merchant will no longer have access to the terminal to close the batch. An Immediate Firmware Update is required.
  4. The ISO will need to re-push the application first before proceeding with doing a firmware update.
  5. Merchant/ISO will need to re-key all transactions as a "Forced" Transaction on the terminal using their approval code.
    1. Please be advised they will need to get a list of the transactions and approval codes from the Host
    2. EBT transactions can not be submitted as forced transactions.
